Banksy cover-up

Culture officials in Liverpool have been slammed for covering up a piece of work by infamous graffiti artist Bansky.A 30ft image of a rat, on the walls of a former pub in China Town, has been obscured by council chiefs.
It would appear to be counter-productive publicity for the city that has been named European Capital of Culture for 2008.
Artist, Amber Tan, told the Chester Standard newspaper: "Instead of covering up, they should shout about the fact that Liverpool has the biggest Banksy artwork in the country."
Self-styled guerilla artist Banksy has had a number of run-ins with council authorities over the last year, most notably London authorities Tower Hamlets and Camden.
Usually the squabbles are to do with whether to leave stencils on council property or not.
Banksy is famously illusive, with no one actually having seen him at work, although there have been unconfirmed reports that someone had taken a photo of him on their mobile phone.
