Terminator may start painting

Published on: 24-Dec-2007
Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger is contemplating becoming an artist when his term as Governor of California ends in 2011.

The muscle-bound ex-actor has to stand down after a second term in office and is reportedly thinking of picking up the brushes, as well as reprising the tough guy roles in Hollywood.

He is said to love painting and is mulling over doing it full-time after his political career ends.

His spokesperson told showbiz website PRinside.com: "Once his current term is up, he may go back to the movies, or start painting.

"He hasn't decided anything."

Schwarzenegger originally found fame as a body-builder and was nicknamed the Austrian Oak.

He went on to star in a number of Hollywood all-action blockbusters including Conan the Barbarian (his breakthrough movie) and The Terminator.

His life took an incredible and historic turn when he was voted in as Governor of California in October 2003 - the first foreign-born governor since the Irish John G. Downey in 1862.
