Mendes and Arquette help children paint

Film stars Eva Mendes and Patricia Arquette are helping hospitalised children to paint.The Art of Elysium charity has invited the celebrities to help the infirmed kids finger-paint as part of their 'creative escape'
Other well known actors who have visited hospitals include 'Walk the Line' star Joaquin Phoenix, a frequent visitor, Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz and Kirsten Dunst.
Phoenix said: "Looking at art opens your eyes creating it, opens your mind I've seen children, who bound by wheelchairs, fly."
Ms Dunst said that the kids she met had taught her "communication is more powerful without words".
Charity founder Jennifer Howell said that without exception, every artist visiting the hospital had requested to revisit.
The Art of Elysiym is a non-profit organisation founded in 1997.
It encourages working artists, musicians and actors to voluntarily dedicate time and talent to children who are seriously ill.
They provide artistic workshops in such disciplines as art, music, song-writing and creative writing.
