Three iconic stars of the last few years have been given the classic pop-art treatment.Singer Amy Winehouse, supermodel Kate Moss and re-born Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, aka Posh, have been painted by Gerald Laing.
He first became famous for his pop-art portrayal in the 60s of legendary French film star, Brigitte Bardot.
The works are based on "perfect" images of the stars taken from various magazines and newspapers.
Ms Winehouse is the one who captures the painter's imagination the most.
Laing depicts the star, reputed to be fighting drug and alcohol problems, kissing her husband.
In an interview with the Independent newspaper, he said: "She's (Winehouse) got massive talent and a very interesting personality.
"She's got quite a self-destructive streak it's a position that many very talented people have taken."
The most widely known pop-artist was the late Andy Warhol whose most famous depiction was of iconic movie legend and pin-up, Marilyn Monroe.
