Troubled youngsters 'flourish' into artists

Looked-after children and other young people will be the stars of a Bournemouth conference as they proudly present their own art exhibition.The youths, with the help of PricewaterhouseCoopers, have spent the last few months creating their masterpieces, which feature a multitude of references to popular culture.
Pleased to have been involved with the scheme, John Larkin at PricewaterhouseCoopers said: "We are committed to community involvement and to sharing resources, skills and expertise to enable young people to raise their educational and creative achievements.
"I have been immensely impressed by the standard of work and it has been a real privilege to meet the artists. We wish them every success for the future."
The artworks will be form a range of medium involving canvas, collage and even video. The exhibition takes place at the National Children and Adult Services Conference in Bournemouth on October 17th.
