Art buyers and collectors from across the globe are descending on Cumbria to see the works of Andrew Talbot. The oil painter is quickly emerging as one of the most sought after artists in the UK and, with pieces from his last exhibition being snapped up in hours, the interested parties are going to have to be quick to get their hands on a Talbot original, the Cumberland News reports.
Commenting on his work Mr Talbot told the publication: "I continually get inspired and excited about the subjects I paint.
"The inspiration can come either through the natural process of one painting leading on to another, or as a flash of a new idea in the middle of the night, on a train, or pushing a pram."
He added: "I love all aspects of the painting process, from the excitement of the initial idea, setting up the subject, the preparation of the canvas or panel, and the magic as the paint becomes material, reflection, liquid or skin."
The exhibition will take place at the Beckstones Gallery, in Greystoke Ghyll, from September 22nd until September 30th.
