A student artist impressed so much with his debut work that the Dean Clough Galleries have agreed to exhibit it.David Featherston, a mature student at Hopwood Hall College, Lancashire, will have his installation - which projects nude videos of himself into wax screens inside a metal box - displayed by the famous arthouse for several weeks.
The impressed Dean Clough Galleries, famous for the Turner Prize winning '60 Minutes of Silence' by Gillian Wearing, will display the installation from September 22nd to October 12th, the Middleton Guardian reports.
Explaining his piece, the 47-year-old told the publication: "This work comes from genuine experience, from a perception that it is hard to break out of boxes that society, or ourselves, place us in.
"The choice to appear naked in this piece was not an easy one for me but it was to expose my vulnerability, to drop the façade we all present, which keeps us all separated."
He added: "I've leapt a few steps up the ladder to get my first work at Dean Clough Galleries."
