Shaw displays artwork of the elements

British contemporary artist Sam Shaw will be displaying her canvas art at The Gallery in Cork Street, London.Shaw's paintings are a stunning representation of the landscapes of the British Isles and hopes that the new collection will help her win another award from the Royal Academy of Art.
Commenting on her painting process, Shaw said: "A location is just a starting point for me.
"I'm actually weaving a whole tapestry of effects to try and capture that first moment or even the slight shift in light or reflection that first caught my attention."
She added: "It's incredibly difficult to interlace light, texture and mood together effectively - actually it sometimes takes years.
"I find some places evoke my response to them a long time later because my imagination is fired by the place itself and my mind goes on working within it."
The exhibition runs from the October 16th to the 20th.
