Designers create take-way wall art

Published on: 12-Sep-2007
A team of designers, including Henry Holland, are creating a series of wall art posters that the public can take away and keep.

The 'rip and run' phenomenon is part of a project for shopping venue Seven Dials.

Holland and fellow artists Kate Moross, Michael Pybus, Matthew Green and French will design a poster and place it in a London location – there will be only 50 copies of the limited edition designs for the public to rip and run-off with.

And a delighted Moross told Vogue magazine: "I'm thrilled to be working with the Seven Dials team on Rip and Run."

She added"It's great to work outside the context and confides of a magazine to create an original piece of contemporary art.

"It's exciting to think that everyone has been given this opportunity to own a piece of my work for free, and who knows with whom it will end up?"
