Dynamic canvas art is currently on show in India, where a Bangalore gallery is celebrating its first anniversary.

Magnitude Gallery, widely considered to be India's leading resource for customised art, is in the middle of a 21-day non-stop celebration of canvas art, with seven short shows running between August 10th and August 31st.

Wall canvases are central to the Magnitude Gallery and managing director S R Magar has observed that paintings of this nature are also embedded in Indian culture.

"Art has always been a part of our culture and has been appreciated by people from all walks of life. The sheer fact that Magnitude Gallery has completed one successful year of enthralling the art lovers is a testimony to the growing acceptance of art," he said.

"To celebrate the appreciation and patronage from the whole spectrum of people, corporate houses, distinguished individuals, we have come up with Rang Barse, the art festival," he added.

Visitors to the gallery will see canvas art produced by 11 artists in total, with more than 250 pieces on show. Corporate art is also important to the ongoing festival, with art enthusiasts able to purchase special gifts and surprises.

Magnitude Gallery is described as "the perfect destination for art-aficionados of Bangalore". Some of the paintings displayed in the gallery have also been exported, representing its growing status in the world of contemporary canvas art.
