Canvas art contest to crown mature moments celebration

A special canvas art contest is set to honour those artists who may have developed their passion later in life and conclude a celebration of those people making the most of their more mature years.As part of International Gathering Week, a special series of events is running under the Generation 50+ banner in the beautiful Portuguese city of Porto.
Among the marvellous mature moments on offer during the event will be a chance for over-50s to share and discuss their travel experiences, and for them to then get to grips with a range of exhibitions and offerings celebrating Iberian culture at its finest.
On October 8th and 9th, an interactive meeting and conference will gather to discuss the latest trends and policies affecting the older-age demographic before the event concludes with the special canvas art prize.
That prize-giving will see the announcement of the winner of the first international canvas art contest open exclusively to the over-50s. The competition, which is still open for entries until September 3rd, will look to honour and appreciate canvas art competitors who feel their work strongly demonstrates the competition theme, The Colours of Life.
