Beckhams' LA welcome at home of contemporary art cool

Part-time singer, model and interior designer Victoria Beckham could not have hoped for a better welcome to her new life in LA - after being thrown a lavish getting-to-know-you party at the city's Museum of Contemporary Art.Posh Spice Victoria has now attained a reputation for an iconic sense of style having released a best-selling fashion book - That Extra Half an Inch - last year.
And close buddies Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes therefore picked the right place for the Beckhams' big welcome bash, with the city's famed contemporary art hub being especially known for reflecting some of the top trends in big city style.
The celebration bash, held last Sunday (July 22nd) after David had made a brief debut as a second-half substitute for new football team LA Galaxy, attracted a swathe of top stars from both the UK and the States.
Among those strolling the red carpet besides the Beckhams were Jim Carrey, Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett, Little Britain's Matt Lucas and Victoria's fellow Spice Girl Mel Brown.
