Canvas art kiss may result in costly court date

A woman was so overcome with passion for an innovative canvas art painting she was viewing that she was moved to kiss it - and may now face court proceedings for her bright red smooch!Sam Rindy, was viewing a bone-white canvas art painting by forward-thinking US artist Cy Twombly, thought to be worth around $2 million (£1 million), at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Avignon, France.
Randy Rindy, herself an artist, was so overcome by emotion for the piece, however, that she sealed her feelings with a bright red kiss - causing her to promptly be arrested on charges of causing criminal damage.
"I left a kiss," she told La Provence newspaper on her way out of a local police station.
"A red stain remained on the canvas... This red stain is testimony to this moment, to the power of art."
Twombly is famed for his abstract canvas art paintings and drawings, and won the prestigious Golden Lion award at the 2001 Venice Biennale.
