Unique wallpaper makes a strong statement

A leading British design-maker has unveiled a new unique wallpaper range which makes a stunning style statement in its look, its feel and even its sound.

Catherine Hammerton graduated from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2005 and since then she has been making a range of different handmade works using traditional silk screen printing, hand stitching and collages to create a number of different personalised home style ideas.

Ms Hammerton's latest innovation is a bespoke wallpaper product, first glimpsed to much acclaim earlier this year at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York and now available to the public.

Entitled Flutter, the new design comes with a layered system which stitches gingko leaves on to paper, and comes available in either black or white or a customised colour schemes.

An attractive idea on its own, the unique texture and quality of the leaves gives the paper an ever-changing visual effect, fluttering at every movement so that the wallpaper can seem alive with movement and sound as people draw closer to it to create a truly unique interior design.
