Kylie adorns wall art this summer

Published on: 27-Jun-2007
A range of wall art and fashion designs on display at Manchester Art Gallery will pay tribute to the artistic style of Kylie Minogue.

On display will be album covers, costumes, video and wall art including photographs from the singer's career.

The exhibition has also been shown at London's V&A Museum but the 60 wall art photographs and 40 costumes will go on show in Manchester during August for their only airing in the north of England.

"I feel honoured to have my career documented by this exhibition, and am delighted it will be shown at Manchester Art Gallery as a free exhibition," Australian-born Kylie said.

"It's wonderful to be part of the city's lively programme of cultural events for the summer."

Simply called 'Kylie', the exhibition has been organised by the Melbourne Arts Centre. After its run in Manchester, the display will head to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow.
