The popular BALTIC art gallery in Gateshead has announced a new partnership to showcase a selection of the cool contemporary interior design being brought on to market by a young north-east company.Formed in 2004 by university friends, Dan Ziglam and Elliot Brook, Deadgood has fast gained a glittering reputation for cool contemporary interior design ideas which focus on fusing practicality and originality in all new products.
As recognition of a cool style which easily transcends the mould of straight interior design, the gallery will thus present a three-month exhibition of some of the duo's best designs, including their award-winning Form stools, made from solid core laminate, and the Deadgood Mirror - carved from a single sheet of glass into a map of the UK.
"The relationship between the art and design worlds really interests us, and this is a great opportunity for us to team up with BALTIC and showcase our work to a wider audience," commented Deadgood co-founder Ziglam
"BALTIC and Deadgood have both undergone huge developments over the last few years and it's amazing for us to be asked to represent design in NewcastleGateshead," added Brook.
An estimated 100,000 visitors are expected to see the artistic interior design range before the end of its run.
