New restaurant's funky interior design takes food for thought

A new Italian cafe restaurant set to open in London is taking its own foodie themes to fire its funky interior design stylings.

Italian restaurant Vallorini will open its doors this week at the Brent Cross shopping centre in North London.

And in a bid to create a unique identity, the restaurant commissioned Spence Hogan Harris Associates to come up with funky interior design ideas for the new building based around the range of fantastic food on sale, reports Designweek.co.uk.

In response, the interior design consultancy used a colour scheme of rich reds and greens set on a clean white palette, and developed 32 graphic icons from different food categories which will not only be used for the new restaurant's interiors, but also its menus, signage, takeaway packaging and website.

"The interior will be clean white and crisp with contemporary feature areas, which will move the whole idea of an Italian cafe deli forward, away from both traditional sandwich bars and a sentimental, rustic positioning," Neil Hogan, Spence Hogan Harris creative director, told the website.ADNFCR-1042-ID-18177308-ADNFCR
